But by interacting with cannabinoid receptors in the brain, CBD is able to positively influence sleep, as well as other health issues such as pain and anxiety, which are common culprits for sleep loss. Determining the most effective way to take CBD and the right amount to promote sleep will require further study. The researchers conclude that while CBD may help people sleep in the short term, the effects may not be sustained.
